A Gold Open Access Bi-annual Official Journal of the International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences (IIJPS)

AUTHOR FEES / ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES

The International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences (IIJPS) is a self-supporting and non-profit organization. The publisher and the journal do not publish any advertisements. The publication fee is required to meet the International Journal of Justice and Police Sciences' (IJJPS) operating costs, such as editorial support (including article manuscript tracking, communications, submission guideline checks, and communications with authors and reviewers), layout and typesetting, third-party software (e.g., plagiarism checker), review management, proofreading, archiving and submission of the content to numerous abstracts, directories, and indexes, editorial and administrative costs with unlimited space for figures, and extensive data, online hosting, and promotional support and activities including metadata distribution, press releases, web content, brochures, etc. for the journal and its published contents.

Being an open-access publisher, IIJPS does not receive subscription payments as IJJPS is freely accessible over the internet. All articles submitted to IJJPS are assumed to be submitted under the fee-based open-access publishing model. Authors, institutions, or funders are responsible for covering a publication fee for each open-access article published in this journal. Therefore, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, authors will be asked to pay an article publication fee to defray the operating costs. IIJPS believes in integrity and academic rigor; we firmly shun predatory journal practices and do not guarantee publication based on payment. There will be no expedited or guaranteed publication and we will never ask fees before the acceptance of the manuscript.

7. Adjustments to Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The publisher of the International Journal of Justice and Police Sciences (IJJPS) reserves the right to revise the Article Processing Charges (APCs) periodically to reflect changes in operational costs, inflation, and market conditions. Any adjustments to APCs will be:

  1. Announced in Advance:

    • Changes in APC rates will be communicated on the journal’s official website at least 30 days prior to implementation, ensuring transparency.

  2. Applicable to New Submissions Only:

    • Revised APC rates will apply only to manuscripts submitted after the effective date of the change. Manuscripts submitted before this date will be charged at the rates in effect at the time of submission.
